TEHRAN -- The Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art plans to introduce the South Cinema Fund through screening a number of Iranian and foreign films financed by the French institute over the past few years.

The Iranian films “The Deserted Station” (2002) directed by Alireza Reiisian, Kambuzia Partovi’s “Border Café” (2004), and Rafi Pitz’s “It’s Winter” (2005) and a number of other films from Cambodia, Senegal, and South Africa will be shown in the program, which is to be held from April 23 to 26.

The South Cinema Fund is affiliated to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Center for Cinematography, which assist film production by developing countries.

Three French cineastes, a screenwriter, a producer, and an Iranian cinema expert, have been invited to the program.
